So was on a mini-vacation doing the Cabana Boy thing...Cooking and cleaning for my woman...Like having a slave but without the gimp mask....But at the end of 10th day my appetite was gone, my head kinda pounded and I just felt very bored.

Not because of the company just that most of the day I laid around, goofed around and had too much time to think, read depressing news stories and ponder my past.

So today I had things to do so I drove home...As I crossed the mountains the weather cleared up, there was a cool crisp air breeze, the colors seemed nice and bright and my mood lit up.

I popped a fresh CD in there with a sweet harmony and things didn't seem so gray...My lil red car zoomed through the hills...You know tall 38 year old Mexican man driving a red rice rocket while what appeared to be yodeling off tune and with a monotone pitch...The usual.

I drove forever but it didn't seem that long...I finally stopped off at a Mission in San Miguel and took care of some business for a family member that died several weeks ago and just sat and meditated in the garden next to the Abbey staring at an uber thin statue of Jesus...Is he doing pilates classes?...What's his secret?

Then finally drove home and sitting here, eating granola cereal, writing silly blogs but so glad to be home...May it be ever so humble there is no place like home.
